Kennel Assistant

Location: Thousand Oaks, CA

Pay: $16 – $17 per hour

Job Description:

We are looking for a Kennel Assistant to join our team in Thousand Oaks. The Kennel Assistant will be responsible for providing care and attention to the animals in our kennel. This includes feeding, cleaning, exercising, and providing general care for the animals. The Kennel Assistant will also be responsible for maintaining the kennel facility, including cleaning and sanitizing cages, kennels, and other areas.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with animals, preferably in a kennel setting. They should be comfortable handling a variety of animals, including cats, dogs, and other small animals. They should also be able to work independently and be able to follow instructions.

Responsibilities:

• Feed, clean, and provide general care for the animals in the kennel

• Exercise the animals as needed

• Clean and sanitize cages, kennels, and other areas

• Monitor the health and well-being of the animals

• Follow instructions from the kennel manager

Requirements:

• Experience working with animals, preferably in a kennel setting

• Ability to handle a variety of animals, including cats, dogs, and other small animals

• Ability to work independently and follow instructions

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
