Environmental Health & Safety Technician

Location: Hawthorne, CA

Salary: $23 – $31 per hour

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Environmental Health & Safety Technician to join our team in Hawthorne, CA. The Environmental Health & Safety Technician will be responsible for ensuring the safety of our employees, customers, and the environment. The Technician will be responsible for developing and implementing safety policies and procedures, conducting safety inspections, and providing safety training. The Technician will also be responsible for monitoring and maintaining compliance with all applicable environmental regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement safety policies and procedures

• Conduct safety inspections and provide safety training

• Monitor and maintain compliance with all applicable environmental regulations

• Investigate and document safety incidents

• Develop and implement safety programs

• Monitor and maintain safety equipment

• Prepare safety reports

• Maintain safety records

• Respond to emergency situations

• Provide safety advice and guidance

• Assist with environmental audits

• Monitor and maintain hazardous waste disposal

• Assist with environmental impact assessments

• Monitor and maintain air quality

• Assist with environmental compliance

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety or related field

• 5+ years of experience in Environmental Health & Safety

• Knowledge of applicable environmental regulations

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
